The Variable Definition maintains the master data for variables. This is the pool for all quality property identifier used by PMS. Before the system can utilize any property identifier each identifier must be defined with its attributes. Besides of defining a single measurement variable the definition of an identifier can be based on a calculation specification.

The Grade Definition modul maintains the master data for all grades. It is the system interface to create, delete or modify grade data.

The modul View Creation manages and configures the system views and print-outs per user. A view in PMS is a schema that constitutes which services and data a user might access and defines the form the data is presented to him. This flexibility permits seamless workflow and is one of the great benefits of PMS.
