Width measurement systems scan contactless the edges of the web to determine the actual width of the extruded product. Such systems are commonly in use in the flat- und blow-film extrusion as well as in the sheet extrusion.

Automatic width target control can be achieved in conjunction with a blow-up ratio controller or a calibration basket.

Width measurement systems are available in stand-alone fashion or as a subsystem to the FXp-system series.
