 PMS-WEB uses Ajax technology to generate dynamic web pages for the visualization of plant-wide data. Each client can connect to this service by using a standard browser eleminating the need for software support on the client side. This provides a cost sensitiv solution to distribute data via Intranet or Internet. Data is automatically refreshed in the browser window and can be visualized in tabular form and graphical representation.

 The module General View is used for graphical and tabular visualization of quality properties related to a particular production line. User can pre-set display pages (called views) to examine the development of properties. While the suited amount of data for other PMS modules is limited, this module is designed to create presentations of large amounts of data to reveal the development of long term trends.

 The module Quality Reasoning analyzes automatically the quality properties of each finished paper reel. This decision process (reel on spec or not) follows the same rules as a quality manager would handle the task. All steps of the decision-making process are recorded and can be logically tracked.
